Very important question is how to identify your shell. Sometime we are going to unknown place for troubleshooting of Oracle database issues. But when you sit against Oracle database server which is running on Unix box or Linux box. You may try to run some unix command to check disk space, Oracle home identification, network related command, same time you got error. Now situation is confusing because you know that command is correct then why you got error.

This kind of same situation is created while you tried to schedule some job or deployed shell script for scheduling process. Shell script is either not running or generating some error.
